WILD ELF CULTURE PACKAGES

Basic Race

All Wild Elves in Zenithstrand claim they are descendants of Coa, thus they all take the suffix “di Coa” to their tribal name, though most tribes were established after the Fracture.


Though the tribes of the Overgrowth are predominantly made of Wild Elves, most accept any race willing to live in the wild and protect it at all costs. Though uncommon, there are Wood Fae and Faun who live amoung the various tribes. 


The tribes are split between kudzu, the fierce protectors of the Overgrowth, and the scavengers, those who have lost their wild ways and rely on trade to survive. Certain tribes may hold but no seat on the Kudzu council and are currently classified as either exiled or trivial tribes. Trivial tribes have had Kudzu protection revoked, but been granted the opportunity to earn their seats on the Kudzu council by trial or other means. Exiled tribes are usually killed on site by members of the Kudzu.

CORVO DI COA

The Crow Tribe
KUDZU

The Crow boast that they can adapt to anything, and their ability to problem-solve is unparalleled in the Overgrowth. Although the Crow splinter the tribe into smaller units they call “murders,” they all flock together to mob a threat.

MACCHIA DI COA

The Hemlock Tribe
KUDZU

It takes a village to raise a child, and many hands to tend to Coa’s garden. The Hemlock are the most aggressive tribe in the Overgrowth. Tales tell of a garden maintained by the Hemlock at the heart of the Overgrowth.

AUREUS DI COA

The Jackal Tribe
TRIVIAL

The tribe before all, in life and in death. The Jackal, best known for their acceptance and use of necromancy, were a proud and powerful kudzu tribe alive before the sundering.

The Raccoon Tribe
SCAVENGERS

The Raccoon tend to work alone, scavenging along the shore as well as inland. Though Raccoon are out of touch with their wild side, their cunning has gained them other skills.

SOLANO DI COA

The Nightshade Tribe
KUDZU

The Nightshade are known for attacking from the shadows and often employ poison. They have relatively amicable relationships with most other tribes, but their enemies tend to drop dead. Though the Matron of the tribe is often accused of sanctioning these assassinations, no trace ever leads back to her.

SPINA DI COA

The Thorn Tribe
TRIVIAL

The Overgrowth must be protected , and that is the job of the Thorn. The town of Unity Point lies within the territory of the Thorn, and in the years since the town’s incorporation, the Thorn have had cold relations with the town, allowing it to exist, but demanding the blood tax from those who venture too far into the Overgrowth.

The Vulture Tribe
SCAVENGERS / KUDZU

Vulture are the morbid cleanup crew of the Overgrowth. Rather than engage in battle outright, they prefer to watch from the sidelines until they can pick off the injured and dying, relishing the carcasses themselves.

CERVID

The Stag Tribe
EXILED

The Cervid were once nomadic mages and traders before the sundering. They were a loose confederation of related elves living in one of several nomadic ‘herds’ who roamed the lowlands in mobile villages of pack animals and yurts.

JHEN'URSA

The Bear Tribe
KUDZU

The Jhen’Ursa are a Wild Elf tribe founded on Isle of Lowgarryn many millennia ago. Their early origins are shrouded in mystery. Only a few claim that there is a tribe from that island older than the Jhen’Ursa, but none of these sources are reputable.

The Wasp Tribe
TRIVIAL

The Jhen'Vespen as a whole are always trying to improve themselves in one way or another. They come from a long line of warriors and hunters, priding themselves on their ability to work together to take down large game and dangerous prey with minimal loss or injury.

The Kraken Tribe
SCAVENGERS

The Kraken believe that when Coa sacrificed herself to prevent the worst from occurring during the Shattering, her sacred grove slipped into the seas that surrounded the new isle of Zenithstrand.  They took the seas to find and defend it.
